Chase the Stars written June 8 2019
Before, I was just a student. But now I’m finally free! Free to chase my dreams along with the stars and the wind. I can taste the open air of a wide country where no one is standing in my way. Never again will I have to be forced into a box I don’t fit in or told what to do. I actually get to choose.
I won’t ever have to spend every day with the kind of people that made me hate myself. I can finally take the time to learn to really love myself. I will show the world my colors and light.
Let today mark the day, I say no to all the things that hold me down. Today I will begin my journey up the mountain to make this beautiful, broken world that has hurt me so deeply a better place.
